The Southern Alberta Mustangs faced off against the Diamond Valley Rockies in a high-scoring game at the Bob Snodgrass Arena on March 20th, 2026. Despite a valiant effort, the Mustangs were unable to secure a victory, losing 7-4 to the Rockies.
The Rockies took 52 shots throughout the game, four of which managed to slip past Mustangs’ goalie, Koy Sutherland, who made an impressive 45 saves. On the other side of the ice, the Mustangs took 48 shots, with Rockies’ goalie Jacob Larsen making 44 saves.
The game was a battle of the powerplays, with the Mustangs converting 1 out of their 13 opportunities, while the Rockies were unable to capitalize on any of their 10 powerplay chances.
The Mustangs saw a notable performance from Austin Stewardson, who contributed 2 assists. However, the Rockies’ Dustyn Stoesz stole the show with an impressive 4 assists.
